After being out of blogging and writing for quite some time due to minors, this post is about a new desktop alternative which was showcased at Ted sometime back. Bumptop is an idea envisaged by Anand Agarwal and is a completely new alternative to way we have become used to using computers. Be it Windows, Mac, Linux or any other environment, we are used to using same old boring desktop. Yeah sure we’ve seen improvements like Widgets in KDE, Windows Vista, Mac OS X however still the underlying usage of desktop remains the same.

However if we are to believe Anand (and no doubts the idea rocks), things are going to change once Bumptop is live and kicking. It’s an almost replica of environment we are used to with our very own table desktop, which has stuff scattered, piled along here and there. For more information about Bumptop do visit (www.bumptop.com) and of-course don’t miss the video hosted on their homepage showcasing the guy himself giving a talk on Ted seminar.
