To be successful in any field, there is always a price to pay. So it is better to be ready and be prepared to face hurdles and failures rather than to hope for an easy way out. One should never remain in a position to accept a failure so easily. Never let your spirit break. Try hard and you will defeat  failure!

Read this and you will realize that with self determination there is no mountain too difficult to crumble.
Gehlore is a village in India, Bihar situated roughly 100km away from Patna. There was a mountain which isolated this village from the world. The people living in Gehlore used to travel 32 km around the the hill in order to meet their daily needs and also for medical assistance. Building a tunnel through the hill would reduce 32 km of journey to just 3km. But it was indeed a daunting task!

One Man Army :
In the year 1967 Dasaradhi Manji and his wife were working the fields and unfortunately his wife was badly injured while at work. The long stretch of 32km which had to be traversed in order to reach medical facilities proved to be  fatal to Dasaradh’s wife. Dasaradh failed to provide her the required medical treatment in time. This distressing incident was pivotal in his life. He decided to undertake the difficult mission of creating a tunnel through the hill single handedly and thus keep the village safe from harm’s way.
As can be expected of “pragmatic” people, everybody was highly critical about his apparently illogical decision. But Dasaradh was not bothered in the least. To their surprise he chose hammer and chisel as his weapons to coonquer the mountain!

It took 22 years for him to complete his mission which resulted in a 3km long and 3 feet wide tunnel through the hill.

The Government recognized his hard work and sanctioned a house under Indira Awas Yojana Scheme and also 5 acres land. His dream is to see a hospital in 5 acres land.
So now the village Gehlore is no more called Gehlore. It is aptly renamed Dasaradh Nagar now.

So be brave..Self determination, self belief and dogged persistence are the best weapons to over come ANY hurdle.
