When somebody posed a question on how does one achieve work life balance …..Mr.Murthy    said:“First get a ‘life’ and then look at achieving balance.”

4. Support system: Family support plays a key role in the life of an entrepreneur

 5. Professionalism, Business ethics is paramount and non-  negotiable.

6. Informed Decision maker: You need to be backed by lots of data and analysis to make informed  decisions

7. ‘Walk the talk’….all principle applies to the CEO and his employees…no double standards

8. Business Idea: Conviction in your idea is a basic essential. You business idea needs to be   either disruptive/innovative or bring incremental value to an existing product….there needs to be a maket/ size that needs your service…..

9. Success Team comprises of  people with complimentary skills and strengths

10.Monitor your Costs and Expenditure …….Keep your operations lean on costs……monitor and always have check on cash flow….costs and expenditure…. 

Parting lines When asked him (Mr.Murthy) what really success meant to him and is he successful if so when and why?His reply to that was: Success means your presence should bring a smile, happiness in another person’s face,life..and that is irrespective of whether you are rich, poor, educated….etc and that he does not think he is successful because…he believes he has brought happiness many times to his family, friends, colleagues…but not “always”. 

He also added: India today has much better opportunities than it had decade ago ………. 

The auditorium was packed……with to be, budding, growing, established entrepreneurs…..  

And he was on-dot time and came across as down to earth, humble, packed with sense of humour!
