Bhavna Jasra                

                                  Memories form a very prominent part of our lives.  Is that not why, we love to take pictures of ourselves and preserve them for posterity.  Bhavna Jasra, a 34 year old woman entrepreneur saw an opportunity to further preserve memories in a rather unique format and thereby is making a lot of money.

                                   Once in London Bhavan saw a photograph in her friend’s house.  She was surprised to see the foot prints of a small baby and the baby’s picture side by side. She was greatly impressed by that , and enquired about that to her friend.  Bhavana came to know that the person behind this great piece of work is a woman named Ferguson. So after knowing that, in no time she went to Ferguson  studio. Though the staff refused to give permission to meet Ferguson, somehow she managed to get permission to meet Ferguson by waiting for hours and hours of time in her studio. After a pleading request, Ferguson agreed to help Bhavana learn the skills. (Impression Course)

                                  Later she returned to Mumbai. Though she was working as an adviser to ICICI bank and CITY Bank, it was out of her interest that she experimented the art with her own son Tina. Her plan was to present those hand prints to her son on his marriage day. Later on she accelerated the pace with her impression work and presently she has many famous persons like Saradh Powar, Fardeen Khan-Natasha, Veteran actress Madhubala, Sanjayleela Bhansali, Subhash Ghai, Bhal thakare, Bharath Shah, Kumara Mangalam Birla,Arshad Varsi, Sachin’s wife Anjali.etc, as her customers.

MAKING THE FIRST IMPRESSION:

                              The actual practical process starts with the help of Non toxic clay whenever  the customer requires a model of foot or hand. The hand or foot is covered with this non toxic clay and then the impression is collected. Then a  setting material is used. This is followed by a 3D model generation. This is followed by using anti fungal chemical process and then simultaneously, a thin coating of silver or gold or any other material of the customer’s choice is applied and framed. Price is fixed based on the customer’s choice of material and coating to be used and is estimated at nearly 15,000Rs to 40,000 for kids, 35,000 to 1 lakh for adults. The customers who are using these services are least bothered about the cost as they feel that memories are more valuable than money.
