The beta software for iPhone OS 3.0 SDK includes more than 1000 new APIs which are available to all members of the iPhone Developer Program for the development and testing of their applications for iPhone and iPod touch.

Apple introduced the iPhone 3.0 software and announced the immediate availability of the beta version of a software developer reported.

The beta version of the operating system for iPhone OS 3.0 includes an updated Software Development Kit-Software Development Kit (SDK) – with over 1000 new application programming interfaces (APIs) and Shopping In-App; to-Peer Connections Peer-; accessory interface application, access to the iPod’s music library, a new Maps API and Push Notifications.

Apple also announced over 100 new features that will be available to users of iPhone and iPod touch, including the ability to cut, copy and paste, MMS, horizontal viewing mail, text and notes, Bluetooth stereo, sync the Mac Notes and PCs, among others.

“The new iPhone OS 3.0 is the most innovative software update for iPhone users and developers,” said Philip Schiller, senior vice president of global product marketing for Apple.
