The Brazilian Air Force has recovered three more bodies from the waters of the Atlantic Ocean in an area where it is believed Air France Flight 447 crashed on June 1. This brings the total of recovered bodies to five.
On June 6, two male bodies and pieces of debris from the flight were recovered approximately 700 miles off the coast of Brazil. A ticket, oxygen mask and suitcase were also among the items recovered on June 6. Flight 447 disappeared over the Atlantic ocean on June 1, and so far authorities have yet to determine the cause of the crash. 228 people were ob board the plane.
