Cyber Media India Ltd, the largest specialty media house in South Asia is going to launch the Indian edition of Technology Review.  The said magazine is published by Technology Review Inc., and is owned by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Technology review was established in 1899 and is the oldest technology magazine in the world.

Along with the magazine, the EmTech (emerging technologies) conference which is also associated with the magazine, is going to take place in India.  The pilot issue of Technology Review will be distributed during the EmTech conference which will be on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2009.  While the regular edition will be out starting from June.

The magazine prized at Rs100 will have an initial 15,000 copies out on its first day of release and will be available on newsstands through subscription. The EmTech Conference costs $1,000 for a participant to register.

About 20% of the magazine content will most be about local technology news.  The Indian edition of Technology review will be the 15th print title from Cyber Media India Ltd.  Among its titles are Dataquest, PCQuest, and so on.

The Technology Review Magazine is aimed at promoting the understanding and emerging of technologies and analyze their commercial, social, and political impacts.  The magazine does not only have an Indian Edition but it also has editions in China, ITaly, and Germany.

The magazine has won several awards in different areas and award-giving bodies.  It has won awards in print, web, design, and marketing.  It won Eddie Awards, Issue of the Year in 2007, American Society of Journalists Best Science and Technology Article of 2002 “Data Extinction” among others.  It was also dubbed as the Best Media/Portal by MITX Award.  The magazine that will now reach the Indian Market will be able to help technology and business leaders in India.
