Prashanth was born in Chennai to Thyagarajan a multi talented personality who was a prominent actor, director and producer. His mother is Shanti and has a sister Preeti. He studied Computer Graphics and Multimedia and went to Trinity College of Music in London before entering into acting field. At the age of 17 years while he was studying 11th standard at Madras Christian College Higher secondary School he started his acting profession. At the age of 17 he made his debut in 1990 in Vaigasi Poranthachu. It was a good hit in that time. Later he starred in several successful movies with several successful directors like S. Shankar, Mani Rathnam, Agasthiyan, R. K. Selvamani etc.,in different languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.
Later he was recognized as an action hero and the audience approved him as a talented hero. Now he is in his attempt to prove his talent in business direction also. He constructed a shopping complex with his father Thyagarajan to facilitate the gold retail which is recognized as a largest jewelery shopping destination in India. Prashanth Real Gold Tower located in the crowded T. Nagar shopping area, will have 170,000 sq ft of floor space spread across 10-floors with three mezzanine levels, ATMs, food court and other facilities.The tower also provides parking for 200 plus cars and valet parking facility.
It will cater to both the retail and wholesale jewellery trade.
Experiencing the present encouraging environment to business Prashanth said “Chennai has been creating new waves in retail formats and consumer behaviour across categories like clothing brands. With the launch of Prashanth Real Gold Tower, we will see a new change in the shopping patterns for jewellery too,”. Prashanth’s younger sister Preethi Thiagarajan, who is a jewellery designer and a graduate gemmologist, will manage the shopping complex, which is being constructed in partnership with Real Value Promoters Pvt. Ltd.

Kushal Pal Singh was born in 1931, August 15th at Buland Shahar in Uttar Pradesh. He completed his B.Sc in Meerut and went to England to study Aeronautical Engineering. He left his studies abruptly when he secured a job in the Indian Army. He was very scared and felt insecure in the Army. So, he decided to call it quits. Somehow, the colonel came to know about Singh’s intentions and advised him to lead life as a brave man. This was an unforgettable lesson for Mr. Singh and he learned how to live in a disciplined way.

After working for 9 years till 1960, he joined in DLF (Delhi Lands and Finance) established in 1946 by his uncle Chowdhary RaghuVendra Singh, which yielded no profits. So, they worked with American Companies in manufacturing electric motors and Batteries.

After the construction of DLF city in Gurgaon and Krishna Nagar in Delhi, he led his DLF business in 1980. Later with the help of Rajiv Gandhi, he collected 40 acres of useless lands in Gurgaon and started construction of shopping complexes. This made Gurgaon a Marketing Centre. In fact 1 acre of land in Gurgaon costs 16 crores just because of DLF constructions.

Milestones:

• DLF constructed main offices for Sony Erickson (Sweden), for Nestle(Switzerland) and General Electronics(G.E)
• They are constructing “Mall of India”, the 5th biggest shopping complex in the world, in Gurgaon.
• According to the latest edition(2008) of the Forbes Magazine, K.P Singh is currently placed at the 8th Richest person in the list. He is the 4th richest Indian, behind Laxmi Mittal, Anil and Mukesh Ambani.

At the moment: They have their constructions going on in 31 countries.

K.P Singh loves golf and is a keen golfer himself. He loves to roam around the world.
